Paul Mahoney
Parish Councillor, Chair of the Parish Council, Allotment Committee & HR Committee member
PPaul is the Chair of Rooksdown Parish Council. He has worked for Lloyds Banking Group for 32 years and moved to Rooksdown in 2007. Joining the council 2013, he became Chairman in 2014 and has been re-elected every year since then. He is CiLCA qualified (Certificate in local Council Administration).
Paul is the Chair of the Basingstoke District Association of Parish & Town Councils [BDAPTC] which acts to co-ordinate the needs of the 39 Parish Councils, 2 Town Councils and 2 Parish Meetings situated within the borough of Basingstoke and Deane (with a combined electorate of over 66,500).
Paul is also the Chair of the Hampshire Association of Local Councils [HALC], the not-for-profit membership organisation representing, leading, informing and supporting the 262 parish and town councils in Hampshire.
When not working or doing activities for the first tier of local government, Paul enjoys travel, music, DIY and walking his Yorkshire Terrier, Pinot.
