The External Audit of the council’s accounts is now complete and can be found here.
The Southern Area of Rooksdown has finally been “adopted to be maintained at the public expense” by Hampshire County Council. This means that repairs, street lamps that don’t work, etc will be dealt with by Hampshire rather than by the developer. See the adoption certificate and plan for details.
If anything in these areas needs attention, the quickest way of getting it dealt with is to report it on the FixMyStreet website.

Bin collection arrangements are changing throughout Basingstoke. See basingstoke.gov.uk/bin-changes for details.
As part of the Manydown development, the developers are proposing making the junction between the A339 and Rooksdown Lane into a No Right Turn, coming from Basingstoke. This will divert an excessive amount of traffic through Rooksdown. For more information, see the letter the Parish Council sent to residents of the affected area in May.
The Parish Council has also submitted a formal response to the planning authorities.
