Neighbourhood CIL Payment and Recovery – Rooksdown Parish Council

The Borough Council’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a charge (introduced in 2018) that is imposed on some forms of development to support the funding of infrastructure, facilities and services in the borough. A key component of this is Neighbourhood CIL whereby a proportion of the money collected by the Borough Council is passed on to the relevant Town or Parish Council where development has taken place to support the provision of local infrastructure within the parish.

To date Rooksdown Parish Council has not spent any of this money. 

We are required to report on CIL spending to satisfy Regulation 59E that states that after a period of 5 years from payment of Neighbourhood CIL the Charging Authority may claim back any unspent Neighbourhood CIL and put this money towards Strategic Infrastructure projects.
